Hello, I’m Tim, a genderqueer Interdisciplinary dance creative.
I work with the multi-dimensional layers of ancestry/heritage, queerness, and interconnections of mental and physical wellbeing.
My practice is based in ballet, contemporary, classical Chinese dance and queer cabaret, with strong roots in improv and somatic movement approaches.
Through working in different mediums — text, spoke word, film, visual art, music — I seek to provoke different perspectives of dance (what it can be, where it can be done, who can do it); to inspire joy, honesty, acceptance, belonging, agency; to question and decolonise patriarchal, capitalist, heteronormative and ableist structures.
